As part of an initiative to connect regional culture to the future, we present the “Sakai Gogatsu Koi Nobori,” created in collaboration between Sakai City and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in relation to EXPO2025.Book Now
At the workshop, under the guidance of master craftsmen, participants can enjoy hands-on experiences such as coloring koi-nobori keychains and creating mini art pieces.
Visitors can experience the charm of traditional craftsmanship from Sakai, a heritage dating back to the early Meiji period.
Families and friends are welcome to join.
As each session has limited capacity, advance reservation is recommended.

〈Sakai Gogatsu Koi Nobori〉
“Sakai Gogatsu Koi Nobori” was created through workshops held at the Jordan Pavilion of the EXPO2025 official participant, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in collaboration with Sakai City.
Approximately 100 participants contributed messages of peace and hope for the future, making each koi-nobori a unique artwork.
〈Hands-on Workshops〉
On April 29 and April 30, a special workshop will be held with Mr. Takeshi Takada, master craftsman of Sakai Satsuki Koi Nobori.

◼️Koi-Nobori Keychain Coloring Experience
A casual workshop where participants can freely color pre-drawn koi-nobori keychains. Suitable for both children and adults.

◼️Koi-Nobori Mini Art Experience
Participants use brushes to color pre-drawn koi-nobori fabric, then mount it in an embroidery hoop to complete a unique artwork.
