Make your way across to The Star Gold Coast, with direct access via level 3 of the hotel. Venture up to the panoramic Level 19 of The Darling and enter one of the best breakfast places the Gold Coast has to offer – a glamour-meets-gastronomic paradise.

Start with a glass of sparkling or a decadent breakfast cocktail, such as the Peach Bellini with Prosecco Astoria and marionette peach liqueur. Not your thing? The coffee at Nineteen at The Star is a rich and dreamy delight, the perfect way to start your day.

To eat, we recommend the Southern Buttermilk Biscuits with divine house made butter and seasonal jam, a southern-twist speciality curated by head chef Uday Huja. For a savoury option, the Crab Omelette is an exquisite meal made with local Queensland Spanner Crab, tarragon, and fermented chilli.

Locals flocking to No Name Lane is testament enough to the excellent coffee and delicious bites on tap. The expansive menu features everything you’d expect from one of the best cafés on the Gold Coast. Treat your tastebuds to:

  • Lemon meringue pancakes with lemon curd, burnt butter crumb, Italian meringue, and vanilla ice cream.

  • Coconut soaked chia made with coyo, Queensland mango, coconut and macadamia crumble, and reduced maple.

Our favourite brekkie option, however, has to be Elk’s signature Boozy Bottomless Brunch. Served daily from 10am, simply choose any breakfast dish and receive bottomless mimosas for one hour. At just $49 per person, this is hands down (and bottoms up) the ultimate breakfast Broadbeach-style!

Another Gold Coast treasure beloved by locals and tourists alike is Alkemist GC. This family-run establishment has called Broadbeach Waters its home since 2019 and is constantly buzzing with activity, a clear sign that this place has got the goods.

Wander past on your way to nearby Broadbeach and enter the expansive corner site café. Complete with white picket fence and trademark hanging greenery, you’ll be in for a treat from the moment you walk in.

Recent (and wonderfully decadent) must-tries include:

  • The smoked salmon bagel with Yarra Valley caviar and lemon cream cheese whip.

  • Golden Gaytime French toast with milk chocolate ganache, biscuit and peanut crumb, freeze dried raspberry dust, and hokey pokey ice cream.

Just a five-minute drive from Dorsett Gold Coast, O Bagel serves up the most pillowy, fluffy, chewy, and fresh selections that will have you coming back for more. If you’re feeling hungry, we recommend quenching your cravings with a sandwich-style bagel. Menu options include:

  • The Big Mama: Salami, wood smoked ham, swiss cheese, rocket, tomato, and seeded mustard mayo.

  • The NYC: Housemade egg salad, wood smoked ham, lettuce, swiss cheese, and tomato relish.

  • The G’Morning: Maple bacon, easy over egg, hash brown, American cheddar, parmesan aioli, and sweet tomato relish.

For a more traditional option, their range of simple bagels will hit the spot. From the classic smoked salmon and cream cheese to the sweet blueberry whip, there’s something to please every palate at O Bagel.
