AS THE LION ‘ROARS’, FEEL THE RHYTHM.  FEEL THE BEAT AND PROSPER

THROUGHOUT THE YEAR OF THE BOAR

The lion dance is symbolic of Chinese culture especially throughout the 15-day of the Lunar New Year celebration.  The sight of the lions prancing lively and joyfully around the premises to the energetic beat of the drums and cymbals is indeed contagious and set the mood for the audience to participate in the celebration.

Day 4 of the Lunar New Year, 8th Feb 2019, at Dorsett Kuala Lumpur sees guests waiting anxiously for the arrival of a pair of lions to the entrance of the hotel.  In vivid colours of red and gold, the much-favoured colour for the Lunar New Year, the show began with much pomp and pageantry.  The crowd was not disappointed with the acrobatic antics of the lions and its team members as they prance around teasing the crowd with their agile movement, playful chasing the ‘clown’ before thrilling the crowd with their ‘leaps and jumps’ to catch the symbolic ‘green lettuce’ and peeling of mandarin oranges for the ‘Pot of Prosperity’ which was presented to Adele Ang, General Manager of Dorsett Kuala Lumpur.

With the blessings of the lions, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur wishes all its guests and supporters, a prosper and fruitful Lunar New Year; may all be blessed with good health, abundance of wealth and happiness.
