The hotel presents to you a unique, striking and colourful Christmas tree at the lobby with shades of red, orange, green, pink, purple and blue, complemented with presents of bold solid colours, as well as multi-coloured garlands. On 28thNovember 2019, Ms. Adele Ang, the General Manager of Dorsett Kuala Lumpur led the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the hotel lobby as part of a warm and cosy year end thank you gathering for all distinguished guests and associates. The evening started off with a three-piece live band performance by the DMJ Trio at Windows Lounge, played by Jerome and his friends with a session of retro Christmas and other contemporary songs. After mingling with light canapes and drinks at the hotel’s lobby lounge, everyone gathered at the lobby near the Christmas tree. Ms. Adele delivered her thank you speech before the tree lighting ceremony begins.
The hotel also invited refugee children from Myanmar, who are part of the Shalom Education Center to serenade the guests with their angelic caroling voices and hosted them to a fabulous dinner spread. Ms. Adele, accompanied by a five-year-old child lit up the colourful Christmas tree with a ‘magic wand’. The Christmas tree, colourful garlands along the lobby railings, and the stunning “Stay Vibrant” wall designed playfully with adorable elements such as ice cream cones, candies and doughnuts then shimmered instantly with warm fairy lights. Let there be lights! After two Christmas carols by the refugee children, guests headed up to Checkers Café for a scrumptious Christmas Buffet feast. Jerome from DMJ Trio and his friends then continued to serenade guests with a guitar at the all-day-dining while guests indulge in the Christmas Buffet spread. The atmosphere was definitely groovy, lively and fun!
The buffet spread at Checkers Café was irresistibly scrumptious. Filled with varieties, from traditional Christmas appetizers, cheese platter, fresh seafood on ice, hot selections, live pasta station with continuous queue, carving counter which includes the signature Roasted Turkey with Giblet Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Chestnut stuffing, baby carrots, brussel sprouts, roasted potato and Baked Salmon with mustard dill cream sauce, to the live Barbeque station and the splendid dessert corner many guests has complimented.
Come 24thDecember 2019, an unforgettable Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner at RM118nett per person awaits you at Checkers Café, the hotel’s all-day-dining. There will be 2 serves of drinks and canapes from 6:30pm onwards at Windows Lounge, followed by dinner from 7:30pm onwards at Checkers Café.
