DORSETT HOTELS MALAYSIA STRENGTHEN MUSLIM-FRIENDLY HOSPITALITY EXCELLENCE THROUGH MFAR TRAINING

A total of 12 team members representing the six hotels attended the training, held on 16 and 17 July 2026. The programme was conducted by experienced representatives from ITC and the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).
The training session on 16 July 2026 was led by Encik Fitra Mohd Ali, Manager of the Industry Development Division at ITC, and Cik Nurshahidah Mohd Abas, Executive of the Industry Development Division at ITC.
The session was conducted by Ustaz Shahril Abd Samat, Senior Assistant Director at Institut Latihan Islam Malaysia, JAKIM.

Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality Assurance Recognition, or MFAR, is an initiative by the Islamic Tourism Centre, an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia. It recognises tourism and hospitality products and services that meet established Muslim-friendly requirements while supporting industry operators in enhancing their facilities, services and guest experiences.
