Decorations to commemorate Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign fills up for Christmas celebration at Dorsett Grand Subang
SUBANG, 4th December - It's a traditional Christmas with a dash of Malaysian spice at Dorsett Grand Subang. The Hotel presents a classic Christmas tree perched up at the Hotel Lobby to welcome guests during its signature Christmas tree lighting ceremony, today.
The annual affair was more joyous and significant this year with the anticipation of Visit Malaysia 2020 (VM2020).
Standing resplendently, the 14-feet tall Christmas tree features all the classic festive trimmings and shiny ornaments with oversized wrapped gift boxes laid beneath. But guests will be in for a treat as the tree is also embellished with dozens of Malaysia's national flower, the hibiscus, to commemorate the upcoming VM2020.
The same decorations can be seen on all the mini Christmas trees set at dining outlets of the Hotel.
As part of the Dorsett Hospitality International (DHI) global brand initiative and brand belief to constantly deliver the iconic Dorsett end-to-end guest journey, Dorsett hotels open up the doors to all vibrant inspirations such as social connectivity and vibrant engagement which falls under the brand promise – “Stay Vibrant”.
Its Area General Manager, Christina Toh calls for the VM2020 inspired decorations to also emphasise on promoting Malaysia's vibrant cultures, especially on culinary delights.
"Malaysia is a melting-pot of culture that is truly unique. It is up to each individual playing our part in showcasing the best from our very own country," she said.
The lighting of the tree was greeted with much cheer and applause as DHI Vice Chairman, Datin Jasmine Abdullah Heng flicked the switch on to bring colourful lights on the tree.
The night culminated with guests and Hotel staff belting out classical Yuletide carols alongside the in-house band.
Also part of DHI brand initiative called Dorsett Hour, guests spent the evening mingling with one another over mocktails before adjourning for a festive-themed buffet indulgence at the all-day dining restaurant, Terazza Brasserie.

Priced at RM150 nett (Adult) and RM75 nett (Child ages 6-12), Around The World Buffet is available from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
Rid that midnight hunger pangs and indulge in a Christmas Eve Buffet Supper at Cafe Aroma on Dec 24. Starting from 11.00 pm to 1.00 am, supper will be served at RM39.90 nett per person.
Something for the holidays, revel in the Christmas & New Year Hi-Tea buffet at Terazza Brasserie on Dec 25 and Dec 31. Starts from 12.00 noon to 4.00 pm, both buffets are priced at RM98 nett (Adult) and RM55 nett (Senior Citizen ages 60 and above and Child ages 6-12).
